Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released, among them Be the only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also rose at number 6 within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in many countries. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. It is also possible to trace her ancestry through Peja in Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock band Oda. When she was at the house, her dad would play original compositions, along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at the age of 5 years old. At the age of nine she began to learn how to sing. Lipa was featured on the hit song If I'm Goin' to You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The contract for her record signed with Warner Bros. Records was signed in the year 2014. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
